Deloraine is a thriving little town with a vibrant community. While the town is a fantastic base from which to explore Cradle Mountain, the Great Western Tiers, Mole Creek, or even the Central Highlands, Deloraine itself has plenty on offer with quaint shops, restaurants, hotels and cafés, banks, art and craft and galleries, and much more.
Every year Pearn’s Steam World hold a special Steam Spectacular Weekend on the first weekend in November, a long weekend in Northern Tasmania. We have many of our exhibits working and visitors can enjoy a ride on the traction engines, tractors or the miniature train. There are 2 miniature trains; a steam train and a petrol engined train. Deloraine Market offers a great selection of stalls with fresh produce including venison, farm rabbits, sour dough breads, home cooked cakes, honey, jams, farm vegetables and fruit in season. (Great Western Tiers)
